Women and Youth Community Action Network is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, non-religious, and non-discriminative Organization founded on the spirit of compassion and community empowerment. Women and Youth Community Action Network was established in September of 2019 by a group of concerned development-oriented professionals to respond and address social problems that affect women, youth and minority members of the society. 

WAYCAN Founders have extensive experience in youth mentorship, Mental health related interventions, economic empowerment through social entrepreneurship ideas for small scale businesses, Cultural and Language proficiency Services, Life skills trainings, and other supportive Services for Vulnerable Households. 

Women and Youth Community Action Network (WAYCAN) serves all communities Central Minnesota specially those living in Stearns County, Sherburne County, Benton County and Morrison County regardless of their race, ethnicity and religious affiliation.

Leadership

WAYCAN has two important management structures: Board members and Executive Branch. The Board members comprise of five members of diverse gender and their responsibilities include but not limited to organizational policy making, overseeing, providing strategic directions, delegating responsibilities to staff and committees. The executive Branch is headed by an Executive Director hired by the board members whose role includes but not limited to planning, organizing, executing, supervision, and overall operations and management of programs.
